How busy we've been! So many activities!

 UN Day

Our last visit to UM Matina proved unforgettable. Unexpectedly, we were entrusted with a daunting task: performing before an international audience comprising students from the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Nigeria, Thailand and other nations. Despite initial apprehension, we embraced the challenge.

The performance, "Gymnastics Ge Mu Fa Mi Re," aimed to perform Ice Breaker and foster connections. Although familiar with the routine, we hadn't rehearsed. Last-minute preparation in the restroom 30 minutes prior added to our nervous energy.

As we took center stage, anxiety gave way to determination. The crowd's anticipation fueled our adrenaline. Our flawless execution and synchronized movements mesmerized the audience. The electrifying atmosphere reached its pinnacle as the crowd erupted into thunderous applause, standing in ovation. The overwhelming response left us ecstatic.

This pivotal moment showcased our resilience, teamwork and adaptability. Overcoming initial doubts, we successfully engaged our diverse audience. The experience underscored the value of embracing challenges and stepping beyond comfort zones.

Meet Last Exchange Students

This night we meet last exchange students from UMTC. Tessa, Flyod, Jerielle and Jhon. They took us around Tagum city at night from eating at the jolli bee, to the night market, to the historical park to watch a show, and to the thrift shop. We had an unforgettable experience with them, very fun and exciting.

Thank you all four of you.

Circus

Me and Fikri recieved a tickets from Ma'am Alona to Tagum City's International circus was an unexpected delight. Despite the 30-minute wait in line, the spectacular show surpassed our expectations.

we came here with our cooperating teacher Sir Armand James that accompany us here.

The captivating performance showcased death-defying acrobatic feats, mesmerizing illusions and hilarious comedy acts. Each segment unveiled surprising talents, keeping us enthralled. The circus's creative blend of traditional and modern entertainment provided valuable insights into Philippine, brazil, venezuela, etc culture.

The queue's anticipation heightened our excitement, making the experience even more unforgettable. Witnessing talented artists push boundaries inspired awe. Mam Alona's generosity granted us access to an extraordinary evening, forever etched in our memories.

Intramural

During my visit, I witnessed an engaging aspect of school culture: intramurals, or intra-school competitions. These events showcased students' diverse talents beyond academics. The competitions ranged from Academic competition, Sport competition to Beauty competition, culminating in the highly anticipated beauty pageant, "Mutya Ng."

This prestigious contest not only awarded winners with substantial cash prizes of thousands of pesos but also offered coveted discounts on tuition fees. The excitement was palpable, drawing everyone's attention. Witnessing beauty paired with intellect proved truly admirable.

btw she's the Winner of UMTC Mutya ng. she comes from Basic Education. what a pity they lost againts Highschool student hahaha.

And here we as a English major students will support our department here DTE (Department of Teacher Education) and walk with them from UM Visaya to UM Tagum.

This is the moment when we attend the Intramural opening ceremony together with ma'am Saludes. Everything run smoothly until the end of event and DTE win the overall champion yeay.

All Saints Day

Nov 1-2, 2024. Today is All Saints day where today everyone will remember the dead, it could be family or relatives. Everyone will go to the cemetery to pray for their loved ones. Today our lovely buddy grace took us to the glorious cemetery to see this all Saints day event take place, and we both did not expect that this event seemed to be the enthusiasm of the residents, everyone went to the cemetery to gather together, eat and even sing together, more like a celebration to remember those who have passed away.

There were so many food tenants there for Halloween and other events, it was more like a night market. We were also invited to eat at grace's place, then we met our new best friend skiffy, he is a friend of grace. Skiffy took us to his family's place to eat together, he even bought us a mango Graham shake, it was so good. Even afterwards we often meet skiffy and grace, they are our best friends here.

Thanks both of you

Beach, Sea Eagle Resort

After the intramural ended, Sir James and us go to the beach with members of the DTE volleyball team. We went to sea eagle resort, which is a privately owned resort that is rented out to the public, and it's a very beautiful and comfortable place. We also had a big meal here before going to the beach for some fun.

After eating together, fikri and I walked around the beach and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, we also sometimes went to the pool and relaxed on the super comfortable benches. The time passed so quickly, it was already late and we decided to go home and rest.
